Emmitt Smith Inspired Sneaker and Card Collection Launch

Reebok and Panini America made waves in the fashion and sports collectibles world with their latest release on June 10, 2024. The collaboration celebrates the legendary football star, Emmitt Smith, with a unique collection of specialized sneakers and sports cards. This joint effort follows the success of their first venture, combining iconic footwear with the allure of trading cards, particularly highlighting the popular Prizm brand that collectors covet.

The lineup unveiled includes modern versions of the “Preseason ’94” sneakers and the renowned “ES22” model, endorsed by Smith himself. The collection also introduces a range of “Preseason” apparel priced between $40 and $80, providing fans a chance to embody the spirit of the football icon.

Emmitt Smith’s history with Reebok dates back to 1993 when he became the face of the “Preseason” line of turf shoes. The ES22 signature model, introduced in 1996, reflects Smith’s athletic prowess with an innovative design tailored to his performance needs. In 2009, Smith’s partnership extended to Panini America, coinciding with the launch of the popular “Prizm” sports card brand in 2012, renowned for its eye-catching opti-chrome finish and sought-after collectible inserts.

The standout feature of this collection is the incorporation of elements from the Prizm card series into the sneaker designs.

The “Preseason ’94 Low Purple Prizm” sports a vibrant purple, black, and white color combination with Prizm-themed accents, retailing at $120. For those seeking a bold statement, the “Preseason ’94 Gold Prizm” boasts a striking gold color scheme and premium enhancements inspired by Panini’s Gold Prizm cards, available for $140. The ES22 Color Blast, priced at $200, features a patent leather design in white, with a colorful midsole and Prizm details evoking the exclusive “Color Blast” cards from Panini.

Each purchase of the ES22 Color Blast model includes a special edition Emmitt Smith trading card, a coveted collectible featuring designs from the football star’s illustrious career along with various rare card parallels, highlighting key moments from his journey.

The fusion of sports heritage with modern collectibility is at the heart of the “Reebok x Panini Prizm Preseason” collection. This exclusive collaboration will be globally available starting June 14, 2024, at Reebok.com and select retailers, allowing fans and collectors worldwide to own a piece of Emmitt Smith’s legacy in a unique and stylish manner. The release follows the successful partnership’s initial triumph with basketball legend Allen Iverson in 2022, setting the stage for another iconic collaboration in sports fashion and collectibles.
