The Special Olympics of Upper West Tennessee is dedicated to promoting inclusion, physical fitness, and memorable experiences for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Through their initiatives, athletes are given a platform to showcase their skills, foster friendships, and demonstrate courage in pursuit of their athletic endeavors.

An essential aspect of the Special Olympics’ mission is ensuring that every athlete, regardless of economic status, can participate in their programs. By offering these opportunities, the organization aims to help individuals with intellectual disabilities integrate into society as respected and productive members, harnessing the power of sports to elevate and empower them.
